The Bell Helicopter exposition at HeliRussia 2014 features HeliWagon, a remote-controlled mobile dolly intended as a landing and parking platform for light and mid-sized helicopters. The US manufacturer in May this year officially added HeliWagon to the list of accessories for its rotorcraft products. The dolly is available in three sizes.
HeliWagon is capable of making 360-degree turns, allowing the operator to maneuver the platform into the most advantageous takeoff or landing position in minutes. The deck is coated with thick, tough, durable and non-skid polyurethane liner which is resistant to fuels, hydraulic fluids and other caustic chemicals. Options are available for receded lights and customer logos.
HeliWagon can also be used with other helicopter models. One such dolly was delivered in 2012 to Duke University Medical Centre (USA), which operates Eurocopter EC-145s. The U.S. National Guard received its first five HeliWagon dollies in February 2014.
