Russian Helicopters Holding Company (subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of Rostec State Corporation) and Almaty Rescue Service have signed a memorandum of understanding for delivery of multi-role Mi-8AMT and new light Ka-226T helicopters, the company’s press-service reports.
“We are ready to deliver the helicopters to the Almaty Rescue Service in the required quantity and on time”, - Mikhail Dubrovin, Russian Helicopters’ Marketing Director, said. “The helicopters will have all the necessary equipment for carrying out any missions assigned to the Almaty Rescue Service”.
We remind you that the contract for delivery of Mi-8AMT to Kazakhstan was announced at MAKS-2013 air show. The helicopter will be delivered to the customer in 2014.
On the back of increasing demand for light multi-role helicopters, Russian Helicopters offers Kazakhstan operators the new Ka-226T helicopter. The helicopter’s demonstration tour was held in June 2013 in Kazakhstan. The capabilities of medevac and rescue versions of Ka-226T were demonstrated to representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of the Interior, Public Health Ministry, law-enforcement and environmental agencies, as well as commercial operators, the holding noted.
