UTair Aviation has put the new AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter into service, the airline’s press-service reports. At present two helicopters of the type are operated by the carrier. The contract assumes operations of 10 AW139s.
The helicopters have a VIP-configuration. They will be used for passenger transportation inside the territory of Russia. All the helicopters are equipped with anti-icing system, the carrier noted.

Our success demonstrates the professionalism and capabilities of UTair Aviation», – Alexey Vinogradov, president of UTair’s division responsible for helicopter operations, said.
The carrier noted that UTair Aviation has a vast experience in the area of operating its own helicopters and the vehicles owned by third parties. «It provides our clients with ability to enjoy benefits of using helicopters without having to create and maintain their own infrastructure, employ personnel and train their own crews», -said in the statement.
