Vnukovo–3 has reported flight movements averaging 2600 per month, up 60% from 2011.
To accommodate the increase in traffic, sometimes as many as 100 flights per hour, Vnukovo–3 has had to considerably expand its apron (from 210,000 sqm): 16 new hangars (from 32,000 sqm) able to accept 60 aircraft of any type. 78 parking lots have also been constructed and an increase in capacity for Runway-1 together with high-speed taxiways are due for completion by the end of the year.
Vnukovo–3’s modern international terminal offers business travelers six fully equipped conference rooms. In addition to regular handling services, such as airport slot coordination, handling and supervision, refueling, crew hotel accommodation at special rates, crew and passenger transfer, crew visa support and a service called VIPPORT Information Service (VIS).
According to Anna Kislova, Deputy head of Customer Relations, tells FlyCorporate that “the special function of VIS is its ability to track, in real time mode, aircraft ground handling status within Vnukovo–3 facilities, such as flight status, ground handling, passengers and baggage handling allowing the customer the possibility of receiving (via SMS) up-to-the minute notifications of the aircrafts status as well as any other important data to your mobile phone”, says Kislova. “In today’s rapidly changing world of business aviation, innovative customer IT services such as VIS underlines Vnukovo–3’s ambition in becoming Europe’s top FBO,” continues Kislova.
