Bombardier Aerospace today brought high-quality maintenance support another step closer to its business aircraft customers in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region with the appointment of two new Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) Line Maintenance Facilities (LMFs).
Arab Wings of Amman, located in Jordan, and one of the region´s premier charter, aircraft management, handling, dispatch and maintenance service providers, has been named an AOG LMF for Challenger 604 and Challenger 605 aircraft.
AVWest, a leading aviation solution provider in Western Australia, was appointed an AOG LMF for Challenger 604, Challenger 605 and Global Express aircraft.
This latest expansion is part of Bombardier´s drive to extend the highest level of support to its customers wherever they travel. In the past year alone, Bombardier has added eight new Authorized Service Facilities (ASFs) and AOG LMFs to its worldwide support network and opened its first wholly owned service centre outside of North America, at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.
"These additions to Bombardier´s rapidly expanding aftermarket network will provide our steadily growing customer base with even more options for high-quality maintenance services closer to home," said James Hoblyn, President, Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace. "We are pleased to join forces with these two respected service providers as we continue to build the industry´s number one aviation services company."
Arab Wings, part of the International Wings Group, began its operations in 1975. Strategically located at the crossroads of three continents, the company´s operations are based at Amman Civil Airport. The Arab Wings facility features 10,763 sq. ft. (1,000 sq. m.) of hangar space and employs 21 full-time aircraft maintenance technicians. Arab Wings recently announced plans to increase its maintenance capabilities with the construction a new, state-of-the-art facility, which would more than double its existing footprint.
AVWest has earned a reputation as one of Western Australia´s leading charter and aviation solution providers. The company has been providing expert maintenance services from its base at Perth International Airport for the past five years. The AVWest facility features 18,300 sq. ft. (1,700 sq. m.) of hangar space and employs five full-time aircraft maintenance technicians.
