FlightSafety International’s London Farnborough Training Center prepares to offer training for the Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft. Development is well under way for FlightSafety’s new Challenger 605 full flight simulator, courseware and other advanced training devices. The new Challenger 605 simulator is scheduled to be shipped to the Farnborough Center in the spring of 2012 and will be available for training following installation and Level D qualification.
“We appreciate the opportunity Bombardier has provided us to serve the growing number of Challenger 605 operators,” said Eric Hinson, Executive Vice President. “FlightSafety’s experience with the Challenger program dates back to the 1980s, when we designed and manufactured the first flight training device for the aircraft.”
“The experience and in-depth understanding we have gained over the past 28 years, developing close to 70 simulators and advanced flight training devices for the Challenger, Learjet and Global Express business aircraft as well as the CRJ, Dash and Q series regional aircraft, has enabled us to provide the high quality training our Customers appreciate and look forward to in the Challenger 605,” added Hinson.
The simulator will be designed and manufactured to replicate the exact flying characteristics of the aircraft and feature FlightSafety’s electric motion and control loading technology and advanced VITAL X visual system. FlightSafety has recently made a number of significant improvements to its VITAL X visual system that will further improve the training experience and enhance the ability to effectively train for both routine and unusual situations.
“Our Customers are pleased that we will be offering Bombardier Challenger 605 training in Farnborough,” said Scott Fera, Vice President, Marketing. “We expect that many Challenger 605 operators in Europe and elsewhere around the world will take advantage of the high quality training we provide in Farnborough. They appreciate the fact that they will soon have a choice of providers for their Challenger 605 training needs.”
