Delegates heading to the inaugural Business Airport World Expo conference and checking in at TAG’s Aviator Hotel this week will be among the first to sample the designer property’s new Tasting Menu. Until now guests of the hotel have enjoyed classic dishes in the Brasserie and sampled a delicious variety of classic menu options. Executive Chef Andrew Donovan’s new tasting menu has been designed so diner’s can experience a selection of his signature dishes. Available only to those that have reserved, diners have the choice to enjoy the five course menu in an exclusive private dining room or the Brasserie Wine Room.
The seasonal menu features innovative fresh dishes in tasting portions of favourites such as terrine of chicken, ham hock and foie gras with a truffle dressing and roasted Loch Duart salmon, wilted spinach with mussel, clam, sweet corn and liquorice. Each course is accompanied by a carefully selected wine and the menu is competitively priced at just £95 per head.
“The Business Airport World Expo event gives us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate our range of services to an international audience of aviation industry VIP’s and executives. By introducing our first ever Tasting Menu on March 1st, guests will be able to enjoy an exclusive dining experience along with maximising the networking opportunities the show offers,” said General Manager, Michael Helling.
The new industry event will feature more than 100 exhibitors devoted to showcasing international FBOs and business aviation destinations to over 2,000 delegates including executive jet owners, operators and brokers. With the show right on Aviator’s doorstep at nearby FIVE, the boutique hotel has most of its 160 rooms reserved for the duration of the show.
Aviator’s bookings are also well up for the rest of March too with a full programme of both corporate and special events taking place. “Demand continues to strengthen in the business travel sector generally and reflects the improving levels of business confidence and the slowly recovering global economy,” said Aviator Helling. “We’re positive about the rest of this year and anticipate that 2012 will be busy with the combination of Farnborough being a designated Olympic airport and the bi-annual Farnborough Air Show for which we already have rooms booked.”
Meanwhile, Aviator is working toward the launch of some value added new business products, ready for unveiling at EBACE in Geneva. Prior to that the hotel will be the host venue, for the second time of the popular Business Aviation Supper Club on the evening of 5th May. Bob Horner, Senior Vice President Sales, Bombardier Business Aircraft is confirmed as the guest speaker and over 120 industry guests are scheduled to attend, according to Supper Club founder Brendan Lodge.
