The passenger door on a Bombardier Inc. Challenger business jet fell off after takeoff at a Colorado airport, the Associated Press reported, citing a spokesman for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.
The plane landed safely and no one was injured in the incident at Grand Junction Regional Airport yesterday, AP said, citing the FAA´s Mike Fergus.
The plane´s registered owner is WFP Investments, AP said. Investigators were expected at the airport today, according to the news service.
Sylvia Gauthier, a spokeswoman for Montreal-based Bombardier, the world´s third-largest commercial aircraft maker, didn´t immediately return a call from Bloomberg News seeking comment. A message left at the FAA´s after-hours switchboard wasn´t immediately returned.
