PremiAir, the London Biggin Hill-based business aviation operator, is reporting a strong demand for its Learjet 45 and Premier 1 business jets this past week, as the main hub airports continue to struggle under a blanket of snow. Savvy passengers desperate to get home or fulfil their Christmas holiday commitments have utilised PremiAir´s six and eight seat jets to travel between London, Dublin and Teesside to destinations such as
Geneva, Paris, St Moritz and Stockholm.
One particular flight, carried out on Wednesday 22nd December, enabled a family of seven to finally escape the UK having spent three days camped at Heathrow Airport. PremiAir transferred them to Frankfurt, a flight of 1 hour 15 minutes, where they connected on to an onward scheduled service to the USA. "This has turned out to be a busy time for business aviation and we are meeting clients who would not have considered private charter before. We are very pleased to be relieving some of the pressure," said Neil Gibson, PremiAir´s Director of Aircraft Charter & Management.
PremiAir is the UK´s largest executive helicopter charter and management company with bases at Denham, Blackbushe, Oxford, London Biggin Hill and Farnborough Airports plus The London Heliport, which it manages. PremiAir commenced private jet charter and management services in early 2010 using the Hawker Beechcraft Premier 1 and has since added a Bombardier Learjet 45 fleet managed by PremiAir and 100% available for charter.
