Over the next 12 months India´s billionaires, air charter operators and the corporate sector will take delivery of 157 new aircraft worth an estimated billion, according to India´s Ministry of Civil Aviation. Once operational, India will be catapulted into 4th place in the world market for business jets, ahead of China, even though China has more $ billionaires. The majority of aircraft sales in India are for new aircraft which provides the prospect of India owning one of the youngest fleet of business aircraft in the world. Additional support and MRO services will follow, although infrastructure development needs attention and bureaucracy is slow to move on permit approvals.
