Libya´s government-owned business aviation company, United Aviation, has taken delivery of its first Learjet 60XR, flown to the company´s Tripoli base from Wichita, KS.
The aircraft was officially handed over from the Bombardier factory in Wichita last week. The company has an all-Bombardier fleet that includes a Global 5000, Challenger 850 and a Challenger 300.
Marketing manager Salsabil Milad, speaking at the AVEX airshow in Sharm El Sheikh, said: "The aircraft are available to Libyan government and business men for charter, but we are also looking at business people elsewhere in the region who would find these aircraft ideal for their needs."
The company was founded in 2006 and is part of the same management group that owns Libyan Airlines and Afriqiyah.
