Frédéric Aguettant, Aviaxess’ president/France, and Charles Hergott, president of Allied Aviation Consulting/Russia, have signed a cooperation agreement for developing business airplane and helicopter transport in Russia.
"We are happy to have established sales offices in Moscow and at Domedodovo airport, which places us close to our existing Russian customers. Many of them use Aviaxess helicopters to fly for leisure in and around France´s tourist hotspots" says Frédéric.
Aviaxess brings a fleet of 35 helicopters and 90 business jets to the Russian market. This strategic positioning—at a time when the Russian market is becoming a regular user of business aviation—is perfectly in tune with the France-Russia Year. Aviaxess is thus helping to fulfill the wishes of the Heads of State of France and Russia by “sharing their spirit of initiative and their thirst for creation” according to Nicolas Sarkozy, and “opening new and useful perspectives for cooperation” according to Dmitri Medvedev.
Frédéric Aguettant himself is delighted with this new development, given that “Russia is a vast territory where scheduled airlines alone are unable to meet business travellers’ needs. I am particularly proud to be “taking part in a new joint aviation effort between the two countries”.
Frédéric says: There are so many more opportunities to expand the VIP leisure and corporate business in Russia. So during the French year in Russia and the Russian year in France, Aviaxess gives a unique chance to discover France and its treasures from the air. For example, a helicopter ride over Paris and Versailles ending with a wonderful dinner in the castle ; a flight over the Kings´ Valley and the Loire castles ; an excursion
along the French Riviera and the Azur Coast, with unforgettable island hops ; or even a wine degustation tour in the Champagne region. Frédéric adds : "I´d be thrilled if our special offers appeal to business people and to their families".
Press DEPT Aviaxess informs the company is planning to grow the Russian-based fleet through aircraft management - a less capital intensive business model.
To raise its profile and expose its branding within the Russian market Aguettant says Aviaxess will seek commercial opportunities and joint ventures with local operators such as UTair, which operates a helicopter shuttle service from Domedodovo to Moscow.
