ARGUS International, Inc. has introduced its new subsidiary, PRISM Solutions, LLC, to manage the increasing global demand for safety, quality and security management systems. William (Bill) Yantiss, former Vice President of Safety, Quality, Security, and Environment for United Airlines, has joined ARGUS to lead the new division. PRISM, an acronym for Professional Resources In System Management, offers a range of products and services including safety management system (SMS) solutions, safety and security training, system design and implementation, manuals, and consulting.
“The ARGUS management team all share extensive operational backgrounds,” stated ARGUS CEO Joe Moeggenberg. “Each day we try to look at the challenges of our industry through the eyes of the operator. This perspective is the reason we created PRISM Solutions. I want the aviation operating community to look at PRISM as a solution to many of today’s challenges in the areas of safety, security and environmental management that respects their experience, their busy schedules and their checkbook. We have assembled an incredible team at PRISM Solutions and I’m confident that our customers will appreciate and value their interaction with us.”
“I was drawn to ARGUS as a result of their proactive approach to today’s heightened challenges, said Yantiss. “ We share a deep belief in the benefits of implementing sound and appropriate safety, security and environmental management systems. Regulatory compliance may be a driver of activity in this arena, but my hope is that PRISM not only eases the burden of compliance, but increases the number of supporters who find satisfaction and concrete proof of the benefits found in proper system implementation.”
Yantiss has selected Guido Fuentes as PRISM Safety Program Manager. Guido is a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate with significant management experience in various safety and quality positions as well as extensive work as an IATA safety and quality instructor. Fuentes is bilingual and will deliver PRISM training courses in English and Spanish.
The PRISM Solutions division also includes Steve Witowski, a former U.S. Navy Aviator and Commander who has extensive operational, safety and instructional experience. Witowski, who has been with ARGUS since November 2007, oversees PRISM for business aircraft and designed ARMOR (Aviation Risk Management On-line Resource), the web-based software that handles SMS information management from any keyboard around the world. PRISM SMS is a subscription based, IS-BAO compliant program, that provides full-service SMS resources including manuals, training, emergency response plans, internal evaluation programs, custom research briefs, SMS help desk, and ARMOR. Available in four different subscription levels, the current customer base of over 150 users includes private, commercial and air taxi operators flying both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
