MAC Interiors has completed a VIP interior on the BAe146 RJ70 for Inflite Engineering, on behalf of an Eastern European customer.
The interior of the BAe146 consists of leather divans and individual VIP seats with the divan designed to achieve maximum viewing of the central 42" television. Coving panels replace overhead bins creating a spacious feeling throughout the aircraft and the original lavatory has been extended to include a vanity unit and a large white Corian basin with Villeroy & Boch faucets. The in-flight entertainment system was supplied by Bang & Olufsen and incorporates a surround sound speaker system tested and approved by Tenencia.
In addition MAC Interiors worked intensively to reduce the amount of signage throughout the aircraft. This was achieved by colour coordinating the signs to make them more discreet and yet visible enough to meet aircraft regulations. MAC also used a new innovative dip film process to meet flammability requirements on the veneer in the cabin.
