Although not specifically named in our country´s founding documents, the freedom to fly and the freedom to drive are highly valued by Americans, especially by the performance-minded. The invited guests at the Porsche Business Aircraft & Jet Preview at Worcester Regional Airport (ORH) on June 19 experienced the ultimate in these treasured freedoms.

Porsche of North America, Porches – Fathers & Sons, Herb Chambers Porsche, Porsche of Burlington, Porsche of Westwood, Ira Porsche, Porsche of Nashua and Inskip Porsche presented the event. The Porsche sport driving school conducted a closed driving course for attendees who wanted to learn how to drive a Porsche as professional race-car drivers.

More than 700 guests looked over the aircraft and Porsche vehicles displayed on the ramp at the main terminal building. Also attracting attention were a variety of exhibitors and aircraft manufactured by Mooney, Cessna, Epic, Air Borne, Eclipse, Pilatus, Flight Design, Bombardier, Diamond, Piaggio, Sikorsky, Cirrus and Dassault Falcon. 121 Inflight Catering provided delicious food.

ORH, conveniently located in the heart of central Massachusetts, has a new $ 15.7 passenger terminal. Last year, the airport saw more than 60,000 GA operations. Owned by the city of Worchester and operated by the Massachusetts Port Authority, the airport offers a variety of GA services, including aviation management, aircraft repair, fixed base operations, airfreight and charter-related activity.
