NetJets Europe is Dassault’s largest European customer. In September 2006, the company signed what was then the largest jet order in European history for 24 Falcon 7X jets valued at $ 1.1bn.
The Falcon 2000LX is an upgraded variant of the 2000EX EASy. The aircraft can fly for 4,000nm at Mach 0.80 and climb to 41,000 feet in 18 minutes. Mark Booth, chairman of NetJets Europe, says: “Our customers love the Falcon 2000 family. With the added range and increased fuel efficiency, we know the 2000LX will be a big hit with European business people.” The jet will have the ability to connect major city pairs such as London to New York, or Oslo to Dubai.
The new fleet forms part of NetJets Europe’s aggressive growth plan. Earlier this year the company said it plans to hire more than 200 crew members in 2008, having employed 341 new pilots in 2007.
Dassault Falcon has secured an order for 20 Falcon 2000LXs from NetJets Europe valued at $ 720 million. The deal follows a previous order for 10 upgraded Falcon 2000EX EASys. In total, the 30 aircraft on order are worth more than $ 1 billion.
John Rosanvallon, president of Dassault Falcon says: “NetJets Europe has introduced thousands of businessmen and women to the benefits of flying privately and we are pleased to see such strong demand for Dassault aircraft. This new order means they will be adding over 60 Falcons to their fleet over the next eight years. This is an important endorsement for our company and our aircraft.”
