More than 700 attendees and 23 exhibitors were expected at the one-day Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (ABACE) forum held today in Hong Kong. During the event, 14 aircraft were on static display at Hong Kong International Airport and the exhibit space at the nearby Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre. Information sessions included airspace and regulatory issues for operating in the Asian region (with a focus on operations related to the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games) and the challenges and opportunities for establishing business aviation operations in the region. While many business aviation manufacturers exhibited at ABACE, few had anything new to announce there. One exception was Embraer, which used the show as a platform to showcase a new interior for its super-midsize Legacy 600.
