Andrew Hoy has been appointed to a new post as Executive Director, Group Sales of ExecuJet Aviation Group as the company looks forward to a significant expansion in 2008. Andrew joins from Skyjet International, Bombardier’s highly successful block charter ownership program.
As one of three Board Directors, he was responsible for the strategic growth of the company and the close management of a large team of operations staff across three continents, as well as being directly involved in managing client relationships and closing a number of aircraft sales transactions to Skyjet clients.
In his new role at ExecuJet he will be based in London, regularly visiting the various ExecuJet regions including its Head Office in Zurich Airport, where he will report to Group Managing Director Gerrit Basson.
Andrew brings a wealth of experience to ExecuJet – not only in customer service and day to day dispatch operations, but also from the front line. A former commercial helicopter and fixed wing pilot, Andrew has logged a total of over 3,000 flying hours with more than 2,000 on jets, including flying Bombardier Learjet 45 aircraft until diabetes abruptly ended his flying career.
“I am thrilled to be taking on this role at such an exciting time at ExecuJet, with its expanding portfolio of business aviation interests,” said Andrew Hoy. “The Bombardier business aircraft line has had a terrific year and the Grob Aerospace sp light jet is on course for certification next year. I will also be closely involved with the new Aerion Supersonic business jet for which ExecuJet has started taking orders.”
