The 8th HeliRussia international exhibition which opened at Moscow’s Crocus City today is one of the largest specialized events in Europe and internationally. This year’s exhibition covers 12,230 m2 of floor space, and hosts 219 companies from a dozen countries, including Lithuania, the US, the UK, France, Germany, and Italy. HeliRussia 2015 demonstrates the latest achievements of the helicopter segment, from design to operation and maintenance. Russian and international manufacturers are showcasing 16 helicopters and five gyroplanes. A record-breaking number of premiers is expected, including the light Bell-505 and medium AW189 helicopters, as well as the Afalina twin-seat light high-speed rotorcraft by the Russian company HeliWhale.
The Russian Helicopters holding company is bringing five different helicopter models to the event. AgustaWestland, Airbus Helicopters, and Robinson Helicopter will each have three types on display; one model each will be presented by the US manufacturer Bell Helicopter and by the Belgian company Dynali. HeliRussia 2015 will also showcase innovations related to navigation, ground support, radar control, and helipad infrastructure.
