Bombardier Skyjet, the pioneer service for online booking of privately chartered business jets and provider of the Skyjet Card, has announced enhancements to its jet card program, effective immediately for all new cards sold. According to Skyjet Managing Director Chris Milligan, Skyjet has added a new prepaid debit card option to its jet card program. In addition to offering a debit structure, the Skyjet Card also offers options that allow customers to select specific aircraft classes and types.
All Skyjet card programs will continue to provide guaranteed availability with an advance reservation, guaranteed hourly rates, no added charges for repositioning and the assurance that all Skyjet network charter operators have successfully passed an on-site, third-party aviation audit. Under the new debit structure, flight costs are deducted from the customer’s initial deposit, which may be replenished as funds are used. New Skyjet cards have no expiration dates, and customers may exit the program and receive a refund for the unused portion of their cards.
“Our decision to add a debit option to the Skyjet Card is a direct response to customer feedback indicating their preference for a simple debit structure,” said Mr. Milligan. “The block-hour structure has served Skyjet well for many years and we are excited to enhance our jet card program with this debit approach.”
In addition, Mr. Milligan pointed out that the debit model provides greater flexibility in that customers don’t have to pre-select an aircraft size or be concerned with upgrades and downgrades when they require a larger or smaller jet. Customers simply select the jet that best fits their needs for any given trip.
“Skyjet will continue to evolve and adapt to our customer needs and respond to their wishes,” said Mr. Milligan. “We are dedicated to provide an outstanding experience every time our customers fly and exceeding their expectations for service. With this new program in place, we are able to offer a simple, customer-friendly card program backed by our 11-year history of innovation and quality,” he added.
