Dassault Falcon to Open Factory-Owned Service Center in Reno, Nevada

Dassault Falcon today announced plans for a new factory owned service center at the Reno-Tahoe Airport in Nevada. The new facility will open by the end of the first quarter of 2009 and will help to support a Falcon fleet in the western United States that is growing dramatically.

“The western United States has experienced a sharp increase in demand for new Falcons over the past five years,” said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. “This facility in Reno is significant for not only the increased support in that part of the country but also the overall coverage that this adds for the entire United States.”

The nearly 40,000 square foot facility will eventually be staffed by over 40 highly skilled Dassault Falcon personnel that will be trained to perform line maintenance up through ‘C’ checks. They will also support an AOG ‘Go Team’ to provide rapid mobile response directly to an aircraft location anywhere in United States with the parts and tools necessary to get a Falcon flying with minimal delay. The facility will support all current production Falcon models as well as the Falcon 50 series which operate in a high concentration in the area.

Service Center Capacity Increase

Factory Owned Service Center capacity has also increased dramatically over the past two years. In August 2008, plans were revealed for a new service center at Sorocaba Airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In mid-2007 a plan to double the square footage of the Little Rock Service Center and to increase the capacity of Le Bourget by adding an additional 50,000 square feet was announced. Both projects will be completed soon. At the service center in Wilmington, Delaware, an additional 30 maintenance and technical personnel have been added since last year.

In addition to the Factory Owned Service Centers, Falcon operators are supported by 26 Authorized Service Centers, 11 spare parts depots and three technical centers around the world.
