(Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 16, 2008) –Dassault Falcon’s presence in the Middle East has continued to strengthen over the past three years with a strong sales pipeline and increased Customer Service resources. About one dozen Falcons have entered service during the past twelve months, growing the in service fleet by 25% in the region. Over the next four years, the Middle East Falcon fleet, which already numbers 41 aircraft, is expected to double.
“Despite the recent economic conditions, our 2008 sales results in the region are expected to remain healthy” said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon.. “The Middle East generated a significant share of the 116 Falcons ordered worldwide during the first three quarters. Increased income from higher oil prices has been certainly a factor but we see countless examples of companies here broadening their interests to other areas of commerce and trade throughout the world.”
The Falcon 7X represents about 30% of Dassault’s recent sales in the region. Its impressive efficiency and range of 5,950 nm have proven to be great assets, allowing nonstop connections with most major business centers in Europe and Asia. The first two Falcon 7Xs have been delivered in the region in 2008 and the first of the 20 Falcon 2000LX sold to NAS (National Air Service) in 2007 will be delivered in the first quarter of 2009. These Falcon 2000LXs will enter the NetJets Middle East fractional ownership program
Increased Falcon presence in the region
Dassault’s growing market strength has lead it to establish a full time sales office and set up a dedicated spares distribution center in the region. These moves were designed to enhance Dassault’s efficiency and responsiveness for the growing number of Falcon operators in the region as well as service the increased number of transient Falcons.
“Dubai is unique because of the expanding Falcon fleet based there, but it’s also a popular stopover point for transient aircraft flying from the Asia-Pacific region to Europe," said Jacques Chauvet, Senior VP, Worldwide Customer Service. Several Service Centers based in the Middle East are currently under evaluation as candidates to join the 30 Authorized Falcon Service centers network. Currently, Falcon Customer Service has a Customer Service Manager based in Jeddah and a second will soon be appointed for Dassault´s permanent office in Dubai.
During MEBA, Dassault Falcon will display a Falcon 7X and a Falcon 2000EX at the static display.
