Dassault Falcon Service Completes Major Expansion

(Paris-Le Bourget, France, January 9, 2008) – Dassault Falcon Service (DFS) recently completed a ten month expansion project that added 50,000 square feet to its complex in Le Bourget, France. The new facility includes nearly 41,000 square feet of hangar space that can accommodate four Falcon 7Xs or seven Falcon 900s simultaneously and an additional 9,000 square feet of office and warehouse space.

”The new facility features a clear, unobstructed work area which significantly increases our service center capacity while optimizing the efficiency of the service process,” said Yves Gueyffier, Dassault Falcon Service General Manager. “This increases our capacity for regular inspections and scheduled maintenance, as well as improves our ability to provide ramp service and unscheduled maintenance.”

The unique hangar design required over 900 tons of steel to construct. But, by eliminating the need for pillars, and integrating an ultra wide door, it allows a maximum number of aircraft to be easily positioned.

Dassault Aircraft Services (DAS) Capacity Increase

In addition to DFS in Le Bourget, Dassault Falcon has company owned service centers in Wilmington, Delaware and Little Rock Arkansas. They are part of the Dassault Aircraft Services (DAS) network.

“As the worldwide Falcon fleet continues to grow, Dassault Falcon has undertaken a number of proactive steps to aggressively grow our Factory owned service capabilities,” said Jacques Chauvet, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Customer Service at Dassault Falcon. Factory Owned Service Center capacity has increased dramatically over the past two years. In August 2008, plans were revealed for a new service center at Sorocaba Airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil and in September, Dassault Falcon announced the opening of a new factory owned service center at the Reno-Tahoe Airport in Nevada.

In addition to the Factory Owned Service Centers, Falcon operators are supported by 30 Authorized Service Centers, 11 spare parts depots and three technical centers around the world.
