The Ministry of Industry and Trade has elaborated and presented for consideration a draft order for 123 jets and 224 helicopters to the amount of 324 billion rubles, RBC reports with reference to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Yuri Slusar. "The draft subprogram “Consolidation of the state order” of our state program for development of aircraft industry has been elaborated and presented for executive authorities’ consideration. It assumes deliveries of 123 jets and 224 helicopters to the amount of 324 billion rubles", - he said. According to Y.B. Slusar, the output of Russian aircraft industry increased three times during the period from 2002 to 2012 (from 195 billion rubles to 579 billion rubles). The number of delivered jets reached 102 ones in 2012, the number of delivered helicopters – 190 ones. The total amount of budget financing increased 29 times during the period from 2002 to 2012. A total of 462 billion rubles were allocated for development of aircraft industry during the period. The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade also noted that the Russian airframers are unable to fulfill their production programs. "We are facing the persistent non-fulfillment of our production program in the network of our strategy for the period until 2015", - Y.Slusar said, adding that 10 Il-96 aircraft were produced in 2012 (planned 15 ones), 31 Tu-204 aircraft (planned 69), four Be-200 aircraft (planned 18). "It is quite understandable that we have been signing contracts on any terms in 1990s. However, this philosophy has moved to 2000s.Unfortunately we have to admit that now we have to take a closer look at our capabilities during implementation of the existing contracts and signing the new ones", - he said. President Vladimir Putin said in March 2013 that about 25% of the state defense order (around 5 trillion rubles) will be allocated for re-equipping the air forces. According to him, it is planned to purchase about 2000 aircraft by 2020. The share of state-of-the-art aircraft in the fleet of Russian air forces should reach 70% by 2020 (at present the share of advanced aircraft in the fleet of Russian air forces is 20%). "The enterprises of the aircraft industry must undergo technical upgrading and strengthen their capabilities in the area of human resources and production. The new vehicles must outmatch the foreign aircraft. If we try to match the existing foreign aircraft then we should start thinking about another re-equipping. We need to look to the future, several steps ahead", - V. Putin said during the meeting dedicated to the development of combat aviation.
