The players battled it out in a Pokémon Sword and Shield VGC 2020 tournament to determine the overall best World Champion in the decade and for the top prize of $600 USD. The 8 VGC World Champions of the decade took part on the show, aiming to showcase high level competitive play in the newest format, VGC20 in Pokémon Sword and Shield. 225 qualified players participated in Day 1, of which 32 advanced to Day 2. The best players in the TCG and VGC from around the world are currently earning Championship points to be invited to the best Pokemon tournament in the world.
