Good start for Bell at Jetexpo

The Bell 429 has also been approved by the Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee to operate with wheeled landing gear (WLG) for missions that require ground taxi operations. Shortly after the official opening of the ninth edition of JetExpo, Bell Helicopter is already off to a good start. The rotorcraft OEM confirmed three deliveries to different customers in Russia. A VIP-configured Bell 407GX and Bell 429 have been delivered to two undisclosed customers for corporate transportation. In addition, another Bell 407GX has been delivered in HEMS configuration to Helidrive, an independent representative (IR) offering services in helicopter sales, maintenance, basing and helicopter flights and charter. The Saint-Petersburg-headquartered company will use the helicopter for medical transportation missions in the surrounding region. “The Bell 407GX and Bell 429 are our best-selling models in Russia and the Bell 429 is the most popular aircraft among all light twin engine helicopters in the country,” comments Jet Transfer General Director Alexander Evdokimov, one of Bell’s regional partners in Russia. “We expect to continue to grow the Bell 429 fleet, especially for VIP/corporate missions.” Two additional purchase agreements for two Bell 407GXs are also in route to final confirmation, as has been reported by Bell on the JetExpo exhibition floor.
