Mi-171 helicopter was awarded with the “Honor of the Motherland” title

Mi-171 helicopter manufactured by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant (part of Russian Helicopters Holding Company) was awarded with the “Honor of the Motherland” title in the network of “100 best products of Russia” Awards, the company reports. The awarding ceremony was held in the government of Buryat Republic on January 15th. The head of the Buryat Republic government, Vyacheslav Nagovitsin, presented the commemorative tokens to the winners and underlined the importance of this title. He also mentioned all the advantages of Mi-171 helicopter. Mi-171 helicopter has repeatedly won this award. The award’s committee has highly appreciated the helicopter’ s consumer performance, technical characteristics, level of quality, safety, competitive performance, popularity at the domestic and global markets, price, etc. The “Honor of the Motherland” title became the obligate continuation of the vehicle’s success. Only the high-tech products, which are repeatedly winning this award in the “Industrial Goods for people” and “Military-technical products” categories, may be awarded with this title, the press-service noted. Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant has been awarded with the badge of honor “For achievements in the area of quality” and the badge of honor “Expert of quality”. The high estimate of production quality and the enterprise’s production system has been confirmed by the BUREAU VERITAS Certification system, the company noted. Certification of Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant by BUREAU VERITAS granted adding the enterprise to the united international registry of aerospace suppliers - OASIS (Online Aerospace Supplier Information System) of the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) with the COFRAC accreditation (France). Following the selection of the best enterprises in the area of quality of weapons, special-purpose and military equipment by the committee of the central body of voluntary certification system (Voenny Registr) Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant (UUAP) also won some awards. UUAP was awarded with the large golden cup “For high quality of defense products”. The enterprises of Russian Helicopters Holding Company regularly take part in the All-Russia competitions and win different awards. Two companies have won “100 best products of Russia” awards in the “Technical and Industrial Goods” category in 2012: Kazan Helicopter – for Mi-17V-5 helicopter, and Rostvertol – for export version of heavy Mi-26T helicopter.
