Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has finalized the results of August and 8 months of 2013. The carrier’s passenger traffic was 2,1208 million passengers in August 2013 (+15.3% or +281.7 thousand passengers as compared to the same period of 2012), the carrier’s press-service reports.
“The passenger traffic on international airlines was 1,2625 million passengers (+10.6% or 120,5 thousand passengers as compared to August 2012). The passenger traffic on domestic airlines was 858.3 thousand passengers (+23.1% or 161,2 thousand passengers). The passenger load factor was 85.9% (+0.2% as compared to August 2012). Aeroflot’s passenger turnover was 6,0603 billion passenger-kilometers in August 2013 (+16.5% or +859.3 million passenger-kilometers as compared to August 2012). The passenger turnover on international airlines was 4,0469 billion passenger-kilometers (+13.5% or +480 million passenger-kilometers). The passenger turnover on domestic airlines was 2,0134 billion passenger-kilometers (+23.2% or +379.3 million passenger-kilometers)”, - the carrier noted.
Aeroflot’s passenger traffic was 13,767 million passengers during 8 months of 2013 (+19% or +2.1967 million passengers). The passenger turnover increased by 20.9% (+6884 million passenger-kilometers) and reached 39.7503 billion passenger-kilometers. The passenger load factor was 79.2% (+1.4%).
“Aeroflot’s solid performance in August and over the 8 months of 2013 demonstrates the outstripping growth rates as compared to the industry average indicators (according to the statistics unveiled by the Federal Air Transport Agency on September 10th 2013). The passenger traffic of Russian airlines increased by 8.1%, passenger turnover – by 7.1%, passenger load factor was 86.8% (+0.3%) in August 2013. Following the results of 8 months of 2013 the passenger traffic increased by 14.9%, passenger turnover – by 16.7% and passenger load factor was 80.5% (+1.6%)”, - Aeroflot noted.The passenger traffic of Aeroflot was over 13.7 million passengers during 8 months of 2013
