DWC TO FORM GATEWAY INTO MIDDLE EASTERN MARKETS
Dubai World Central’s (DWC) Business Park recently participated in this year’s Arabia-EXPO held in St. Petersburg, Russia. The interest shown in DWC by the participating Russian companies is expected to translate into investments in DWC in the months ahead. The volume of foreign trade between the UAE and Russia is set to grow steadily in the coming years with an increasing number of Russian companies looking to tap the potential of the Middle East markets through the UAE, benefiting from the double tax treaty signed between the two countries and the various business platforms, located within eight hours of flying time of two-thirds of the world’s population. In addition, DWC’s Business Park has reached an agreement in principle with Customs & Corporate Lawyers (CCL), an International partnership network of law companies. Through this agreement, CCL will significantly help to simplify the process for Russian companies seeking to establish a presence in DWC.
